Skateboarding has typically been called “sidewalk surfing” but over the last couple of years we’ve seen more and more attempts to take skateboarding off road. The latest attempt is from Rockboard, which showed off its Descender board earlier this year at Toy Fair in New York.
The deck features tank-like treads that will certainly grip harsh terrain better than four wheels. The board, which will be out later this spring, can reportedly handle riders up to 200 pounds – and those brave enough to actually ride off-road!
