With the 2012 Olympics heading into its final days in London, it might be hard to bid cheerio to one of the more exciting and memorable games in recent memory. (Don’t forget, the Paralympics are up next, but coverage will be scant, unfortunately.) For those who need a little memento to remember the games by, Samsung has released London Olympics-themed Galaxy S3 smart phones featuring designs with the Union Jack.
The South Korean electronics company is a major sponsor of the Olympics; you’ve probably seen plenty of Samsung ads and commercials featuring the Galaxy S3 during televised coverage of the games. The smart phone is equipped with a quad-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera with high-definition video recording capability, and a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display. (These are different from the special edition flip cover Samsung is selling at its pop-up stores in London.
There’s no word if these specialty phones will be available stateside, as they are available from the U.K.’s Carphone Warehouse. But we bet they’ll show up on eBay in droves soon enough.
