It’s in the XLAB Aero Bag

Even wearing jerseys with three pockets, many cyclists will find that there’s just not enough room to tote along the essentials. It’s also easier to put a few tools in a gear bag and keep it on the bike to stay handy. That’s where the new line of Aero Bags from XLAB come in handy. The line of bags discretely stay strapped to the bike, and actually help reduce drag.

Company founder Craig Turner used findings from recent Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tests to help design the bags. One example of findings put to real world design: the Stealth Pocket series. The line of three bags strap to the top-tube and take advantage of the rise between the top tube and top of the stem. The design on the bag comes from testing, which find that the best aerodynamics come when the bag is of equal height to the stem height. XLAB finds that the aerodynamics are actually better than not having a bag at all. The triangular bag is enough to stow a tube and a few tools.
