Products that can go deep are what Fitness Technologies Inc. is showing this week in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show. These include the newly announced full-day hour Uwater Action Cameras, which include the UD3X, HD55 and the HD77. All three cameras feature mounting accessories so they can be used with helmets, on a bike or mounted on the body or board.
The basic UwaterHD3X ($200 MSRP) features an all metal design made of machined aluminum, and it is waterproof to 30 meters without a case. The 5megapixel camera can record video in 720 at 30FPS. It comes with a 32GB card, and offers single button operation.
The UwaterHD55 ($250 MSRP) is a true light-weight at just three ounces, and it is 100 percent waterproof to 60 meters. It is an 8megapixel camera that can shoo 720p and full HD 1080p video at 60FPS, while also offering a 1.5-inch color TFT LCD screen. It also comes with a 32GB card.
The UwaterHD77 ($250 MSRP) can go to five meters without a case, and this also an 8megapixel camera, featuring 720p and full HD 1080p video recording at 60FPS, along with a 1.5-inch color TFT LCD screen.
For those going deep Uwater also is introducing its new DX line of extreme dive lights that off up to 2700 lumens at 100 meters underwater, and feature a beam range from 825 to 3100 feet. Three models will be available including the UwaterDX340, UwaterDX1000 and UwaterDX3000, with prices starting at $185. These are rated to 100 meters, offer no-rust triple-action rotating tail activation and feature radial heat sink technology, while these can be mounted to Uwater cameras for underwater and night-time use.
