Strength training and recovery are important to endurance athletes. A new tool, Body Wrench P3R, offers both. It’s a bar that you attach swiveling balls to via stainless steel pins and axles so you can use the balls to roll parts of your body for resistance or massage.
For muscle recovery, the weight of your body adds the pressure to let the balls roll on your back, thigh or other trouble area. It offers some deep tissue self-massage elements to get the kinks worked out after training or a big race.
For strength training, the bar and ball system is used for pushups and variations on the essential reps. You can use the Body Wrench like you might use pushup handles to stabilize. But you can also roll your arms in and out to offer some varied strength training exercises.
The Body Wrench P3R sells for $85 for one Body Wrench and accessories, $145 for two.
