This is pretty much the ultimate commuter light out there. Micro-USB rechargeable works with existing cell phone chargers, side lighting offers better visibility on roadways, tremendously bright, lots of run time. The industrial design is world class, and the light is a fraction of the size of any other options with that kind of power and super lightweight – perfectly suited for my road bike.
Light and Motion absolutely has the best commuter service in the industry – they had some issues with the firmware on an early batch of these lights and not only offered to fix it for anybody that had purchased the light but they would make it better, so if you got an Urban 300 they’d send you a brand new Urban 500 with updated firmware, or if you had purchased an Urban 500 they would replace it with an updated version AND SEND you a complimentary VIS 180 ($99 retail). With customer support like that, I am a lifelong fan of Light and Motion.
