Shoot Straight With Polara Golf Balls

The new Polara golf balls probably wouldn’t have kept Tiger Woods from straying, but they probably could help you shoot straighter. These specially designed golf balls utilize “self-correcting technology” to reduce dreaded hooks and slices by up to 75 percent according to the company. The result should, at least in theory, keep you on fairway and out of the rough or woods, even if it won’t keep a certain pro out of the dog house.

The Polara golf balls are now available in two different models, including the Polara Ultimate Straight with a two-piece construction with 386 dimples, and the Polara Super Straight with a three-piece construction and 386 dimples. Each of these dimples – and there are more of them then in all the Shirley Temple movies combined it seems – is designed with a very specific purpose, and just enough difference in over all shape to help keep the balls flying straight and level.

“We’re delighted to introduce golfers to the first of many products that have no limits other than the laws of physics,” said David Felker, PhD, Head of Technology for Polara Golf. There is nothing a golfer can purchase that even comes close to correcting hooks and slices as well as these new Polara golf balls. The self-correcting technology of the Polara Ultimate Straight and the Polara Super Straight golf balls will change the game of golf by making it more enjoyable and even speeding up play.”

The balls were recently tested by Golf Laboratories in San Diego, where a robot hit several using several different slice swing conditions, and under these tests the balls tended to stay straighter than two rival brands. Now if only there were balls to keep Tiger from straying.

  1. Does it really matter? He has been through hell as it is with the media and the whole whole knowing about his infidility. Would it have made it easier if he had allowed questions to be asked? He made mistakes yes, but now we need to allow this remarkable sportsman return to the one thing he is great at -golf. Let him pick up the pieces with his family and move on
