Las Vegas – We came, we saw, we reported. We also rode some bikes and checked out a lot of upcoming gear. So while the show is over, we’ll be reporting on some of the best upcoming fitness technology related products that you won’t want to miss all this week.
We also thought that as trade shows go this one really outdoes most others. How many trade shows not only encourage you to go green, and ride your bike to the convention center but then provide ample indoor parking for the bikes? We also noted several similarities with the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Here is a quick list of things we noted during our time in E3.
-Both shows featured a lot of tattoos, but types of tatts differed greatly. Put it bluntly, there were two very different breeds of tattooed attendees.
-Both Interbike and E3 had some rather “funky” smelling attendees, but in fairness the Interbike attendees (who were testing bikes on long rides in the desert) had a good reason to smell bad.
-Both shows had tons of hands on demos, but where E3 encourages users to take a seat and stay stationary, Interbike encourages users to get on a seat and be anything but stationary (except with the stationary bicycles of course). So while users might get sweaty at both shows, like the smell, there is a good reason for it happening at Interbike.
That said, we still love both shows, but take a guess as which one is our favorite.
