Audio Gets in Focus

YurbudsMusic and working out just go so well together, but having earbuds that can go the distance has often been the problem. Earbuds that fall out of the ears are worse than no headphones at all. The Yurbud Focus will still in place thanks to Twist Lock silicone ear plugs while the over-the-ear mount will let you run, jump and more without fear. These also provide freedom as they can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to portable music players, meaning you need to worry about let cable.

These are also resistant to sweat and light rain, and have about eight-hours of battery life, while the fabric cord will help ensure they don’t get all tangled up.

Interbike Preview: Adventure Buds

YurBudsMusic can provide a wonderful backdrop to an outdoor adventure and yurbuds is debuting its new Adventure Line that is geared towards those who like to head off the beaten path. These made their debut at last month’s Summer Outdoor Retailer show but will be at this week’s Interbike.

The new Adventure Line features all yurbuds qualities including a sweat and water resistant design for active use, FlexSoft comfort fit and TwistLock Technology that the company notes is guaranteed to never fall out. Additionally, the Adventure Line has tangle-resistant, rubberized woven cords which increase the water resistance to the IPX 5 level. The housing design and snap fit enhancers provide premium sound quality, and the QuikClik magnets allow for easy storage and access on the go.

Yurbuds Makes Inspire for Women Sport Earphones

Earbuds and me have never been friends. They hurt my ears and never stay in place. Newer models with silicone caps do a better job of staying in my ears and staying pain free. But now yurbuds is making a special version of its Inspire sport earphones specifically for women, which will be available exclusively at Target.

The sport earphones were designed by Annie Karayiannis, creative director for yurbuds. To make the women-specific model, Karayiannis spent time researching female athletes to determine the best earphone size, shape and colors needed. The colors are just aesthetic, but still make the earbuds for many of us. Continue reading Yurbuds Makes Inspire for Women Sport Earphones

Yurbuds Intros New Inspire Talk Earbud

Yurbuds designs headphones worthy of someone training for a marathon or triathlon. The Inspire Talk headphones are compatible with most smartphones, and have a one-button “dry-mic” sweat and water resistant microphone and control.

The new model comes in shiny black, a departure from the red models in previous Ironman Series earbud headphones from Yurbud. The one-button “dry-mic” control is sweat and water-resistant. It operates as a microphone to handle phone calls, even while on a run. With one button, runners can answer and end calls, start and stop music, adjust the music track and transmit a clear audio signal.

While the Inspire Talk is aimed at a broad number of smartphones, it has the ability to launch Apple’s Siri voice control query on the iPhone 4S.

Yurbuds for Your Ear

Going for a long run often means getting away from it all, but unless you’re in the middle of nowhere your run probably doesn’t get you away from everything. But Yurbuds could just take you away, even if you’re just on a treadmill.

These in-ear headphones were developed by athletes for athletes and officially launched this week with the new Ironman Series earphones. The earbuds were designed by company CEO and Ironman triathlete Seth Burgett while he was training. The result is an earbud that won’t fall out, even when taking part in grueling training regimes.

The sport earphone was developed to match the contour of the human ear without creating any pain points – because if the earbud is uncomfortable who is going to ever want to wear it. The Yurbuds Ironman Series feature an ultra-soft comfort fit and use the company’s patented “TwistLock” technology to provide the wear with exceptional sound by channeling the audio straight to the ear via the patented funnel shape.

Best Buy to Get Into Health and Fitness

It is hard not to love Best Buy. As a guy I love everything Best Buy, from the huge TVs to mobile phones, computers to even the appliances.  But the truth is that Best Buy has also sort of been one of those stores that made me feel a little guilty too. It has so much stuff that I love; but yet very little “active” type products for on the go. While there are plenty of digital cameras, GPS devices and now tons of video games that claim to inspire fitness, the truth is that Best Buy remains about those big, big TVs that draw you in, where you just want to sit back on a couch and let the day pass you by.

However, the retailer has announced a new national rollout of health and fitness products at 600 Best Buy stores across the country as well as online at Bestbuy.com. This is truly a good thing, as it should help inspire – dare we say “guilt” – visitors to do something besides sit on a couch whilst enjoying Blu-ray and HDTV. This also comes just in time for all those New Years’ resolutions that we hope readers will keep.

“We were encouraged by the enthusiastic response we saw from our customers during the initial pilot of these health and fitness products,” said Chris Koller, vice president of the Portable Electronics Solutions Group at Best Buy. “We clearly tapped into a desire for Best Buy to provide the latest and greatest technology to enhance health regimens, and to help people discover how they can integrate these devices with other personal technology to monitor and share their progress, and to stay motivated.” Continue reading Best Buy to Get Into Health and Fitness
