CL!CKWhen out on the slopes the last thing you are likely to have is a tool to adjust your bindings. The CL!CK CARABINER is something that will likely be within reach and is thus there when you really need it most.

This tool provides a large slot screwdriver, a pair of Phillips heads and even bottle opener for those times when you reach the end of the run. While designed with skiers and snowboarders in mind, this could be a tool for anyone looking to clip one on. Axe and You Shall Receive

When we think of “Battle Axe” two things come to mind and yes, one is Fred Flintstone’s mother-in-law (or most mother-in-laws probably), and the other is something carried by dwarves in The Lord of the Rings. However, axes have real purposes today, and the Lansky Fireman’s Battle Axe is ideal for more than fighting fires. It features an impact tool, hose wrench and gas valve wrench. Probably not the first choice for camping, but if you’re going to own one axe for all your axeful uses this is probably the one to have.

The Pocket Knife Redesigned

This is not your father’s Swiss Army Knife. The Switch is a customizable tool created by crowd source product design company Quirky. The Switch is the framework of a multi-blade pocket knife and 18 tools you can insert into the frame. The tool comes with three interior axles. The small blade holds two-to-six attachments; medium holds four-to-10; and the large axle holds seven-to-13 tools. You can configure those you need from the attachments including a standard knife, pliers, scissors, nail file, tweezers, thin flathead screwdriver, Phillips-head screwdriver, eyeglass Phillips-head screwdriver, eyeglass flathead screwdriver, wood saw, serrated blade, corkscrew, combination bottle opener and flathead screwdriver, combination can opener and wire stripper, pen, magnifying glass, LED flashlight, and 1GB USB memory stick. Phew, that’s a tool for MacGyver. Set up the Switch for IT duty, or take a few tools such as the knife, wood saw, serrated blade, LED flashlight and a few other tools for your outdoor activities like your next camping trip or Kayak excursion.

An Old Axe Can Learn New Tricks

This SP16-SPAX tool from the Ontario Knife Company has many uses.

An axe is one of the oldest tools in humankind’s toolbox. However it has evolved over the years to be less unwieldy and more practical. The Ontario Knife Company based its newest axe tool, the SP16-SPAX, on a WWII emergency crash axe model, and continued to improve the design. The new SP16-SPAX is useful for emergency first responders and firefighters, but also for outdoor activities such as camping and hunting.

The blade is made of razor-sharp 1095 epoxy powder-coated carbon steel, and has a special hole used for opening and closing fire hydrants and gas valves. The handle is ribbed with Kraton polymer, and features tang construction meaning the blade and handle are all one piece. Sturdy. The hole mentioned above serves a second purpose. The Axe can be gripped higher up to handle tasks that are more precise.
