Interbike is just starting, but already we’re looking back thanks to RearViz, a new portable/packable mirror that provides a fairly wide visibility range. Instead of being mounted on the handlebars or on a helmet, this mirror is worn on the arm providing the ability to move the mirror as needed to get that clear view of what might be coming at you. It could be the next best thing to eyes in the back of your head.

A used bike doesn’t have to mean used and abused, but determining the value of a “previously owned bicycle” can be more challenging than buying a used car. However, the Bicycle Blue Book might make things a whole lot easier – for both buyers and sellers.
This service can take a lot of guess work out the pricing for used bikes, and it can even reduce some of the risk out buying via sites such as Craigslist – by involving a third party. As the company noted, “Bicycle Blue Book is a service that takes the wild west out of the used bike market.”
The Bicycle Blue Book will be at this month’s Interbike trade show in Las Vegas.

Action Wipes to the Rescue this Summer
Last fall at Interbike Action Wipes really saved us. Not only were the bins of the full body wipes a welcome site outside of the port-o-potties during demo days, the oversized wipes were welcome for other uses during the show.
When we got back to our hotel after a long day of riding bikes in the desert, we were in desperate need of a shower. That was when we discovered there was no hot water in the hotel. The layers of sweat, desert dust and maybe a little bike grease made the thought of going to bed and showering in the morning impossible. We didn’t even want to venture out to dinner before cleaning up. Then we remembered we had tucked a few Action Wipes in our gear bag. Smart thinking.
