Buddy Bike, which manufactures “alternative tandem bicycles, introduced two new models for 2012 at this year’s Interbike. The company has designed a special bicycle for families with special needs children, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of riding a bicycle.
The new Buddy Bike Sport Deluxe features the Fallbrook Technologies Inc.’s NuVinci N360 Continuously Variable Planetary transmission, the maintenance-free hub that requires no adjustments and offers the promise to make shifting simple for riders. The Buddy Bike Adventure takes riding to true simplicity with a single-speed model that will be available exclusively to bike rental shops and adaptive cycling programs to encourage families to experience the Buddy Bike. Both bike models will be available in December.
