At last week’s Outdoor Retailer Show Winter Market Kamik introduced a boot that will keep your feet dry even when fly fishing or trekking through wet terrain. The Cold Creek won’t keep you high and dry exactly, but the 17 inch height of the boot is high enough for fairly deep water. This American made boot is waterproof and features neoprene and rubber. So maybe with it you will be actually high and dry.

While the barefoot experience has been a hit with runners, the Lems Mens Boulder Boots are there to offer the barefoot experience on the hiking trail. These lightweight boots feature water-resistant nylon uppers, and full-grain leather to help keep way moisture and protect the feet while feeling food at the same time. And at the end of the hike these boots practically roll up for easy storage.
Except No Substitute
Adidas has created the Cadillac of boots – no make that the Ferrari of boots. OK, third times the charm, the shoemaker has worked with Porsche Design Sport to come up with the Porsche of winter books. The Easy Winter Boots are designed to be a style alternative to traditional boots and feature PrimaLoft insulation, premium nubuck leather upper and protective TPU shell to help feet dry and the weather out. The rugged outsole will even help provide traction on wet surfaces.
You might not want to take that Porsche out of the garage in the winter, but you’d be glad to have these Porsche designed boots on your feet.
Nike Boots (almost) Ready for Lunar Landing
The new Nike Lunarterra Arktos books look truly out of this world. The modular books appear to be ready for a cold hostile environment, and while that might not be the moon these will get through the upcoming winter. These feature a Lunarlon midsole that means lighter weight, but with improved comfort and movement of the foot; while the Vac Tec molding helps create a serious seal – it might not endure the vacuum of space but it will keep rain, snow and slush out. Ideal for hiking or just shoveling the driveway these boots will offer stability and keep the feet warm.
Nike also reminds us that “arktos” is ancient Greek for “bear” and is where the term “Arctic” is derived. In other words these arctic ready boots will be good cold weather – and they’ll arrive just in time.

Fashionable Boot
There has been a serious movement in recent months to provide more fashion-forward attire for urban commuters, with shoes and even clothing that is as friendly for the office as on the bike. However, most of the apparel and shoes have been aimed at the male rider, leaving the female somewhat on the side of the road.
DZR Shoes did offer up a very fashionable pair of full length synthetic leather boots that included a flexible clipless pedal shank. However, for reasons we don’t understand only 50 were produced for the whole world, so getting a pair could be a challenge.
Love Lace
The Castle Brooke Paralaces are laces to love. These hand-crafted bootlaces are reportedly the toughest around, and feature a seven-strand construction with 550 pound-tested Nylon Kernmantle rope, and aglets made from polyolefin plastics. Those bind and mesh with the nylon fibers to become one with the lace. These are even available in a variety of colors including the old standby in black.
Spring Boots
Spring is (almost) in the air and while that means warmer weather is ahead it also means mud, lots of mud. While many of us are itching to get out and take in a hike, it helps to have the right shoes. The Hi-Tec Sierra could be just the thing. This hiking boot features ion-mask hydrophobic management technology that makes these fully water proof but yet not overly big or bulky.
The i-shell upper offers a snug fit that provides comfort and support, while the Vibram sole will help protect the feet from rocks and other uneven terrain and give grip both uphill and downhill. There is even rustproof metal hardware to ensure that these boots will go the distance. The Hi-Tec Sierra promise to be well padded, and will serve wearer’s well even when spring turns to summer.
AreoHead For the Feet
The LaCrosse AreoHead boots will let you take on the wild head on one step at a time. These feature patent-pending AeroForm technology that offers a comfortable fit yet are highly flexible, durable and lightweight. The boots feature a neoprene inner sock, along with Armor Weld that crates a rubber seal to provide durability and flexibility, while allowing wearers to easily slide the boots on and off.
The result is a boot that provides support for climbing in and out of treestands, while the Brush Tuff bi-directional material on the upper supplies abrasion resistance and can protect against brush and briars. While there aren’t many “mountain men” around these days, it would be the boot they’d want to wear.
Boots to Board
The ECCO Roxton GTX Snowboard boots aren’t just for the slopes. Rather this comfortable modern boot offers the snowboarding look, complete with uppers made of oiled leathers and textiles, while the wool lining with lambskin will keep the digits inside nice and warm. There is even a removable 5mm felt inlay sole to provide extra cushioning. The Gore-Tex membrane will keep feet dry, while the flexible sole will keep you comfortable while you shovel out the driveway and get inspired to head to the mountains.
Nike Snowboarding Boot Ready to Fly
We’ve been hearing a bit about Nike’s new offerings for winter, and these include the Nike Zoom DK QS Double Tongue Snowboarding Boot. That’s quite a name, but it is also quite a boot. It was developed with collaboration with snowboarder Danny Kass so it can stand up to the worst that winter can throw at it.
It features classic American military aviation artwork so it is also looks ready to take a bite out of the slopes! Video after the jump
