Fowl Weather Bag

TenzingIf the weather outside is foul, then the Tenzing TZWF13 Waterfowl Bag may be just the one to bring. It features 2,830 cubic inches and has lots of pockets, 27 in all, for keeping and organizing all items, and it is built to deal with the conditions that waterfowl hunters face.

This bag is constructed from 600 Denier polyester with PVC waterproofing and DWR coating, and offers a rigid and waterproof EVA base so it can be set down in a muddy and wet environment without fear that it will soak up water. It further offers both a zippered top to keep the elements out, while a storm shielf cover fully envelops the bags openings.

Foul weather won’t ruin this fowl bag.

Nike Boots (almost) Ready for Lunar Landing

Lunarterra-ArktosThe new Nike Lunarterra Arktos books look truly out of this world. The modular books appear to be ready for a cold hostile environment, and while that might not be the moon these will get through the upcoming winter. These feature a Lunarlon midsole that means lighter weight, but with improved comfort and movement of the foot; while the Vac Tec molding helps create a serious seal – it might not endure the vacuum of space but it will keep rain, snow and slush out. Ideal for hiking or just shoveling the driveway these boots will offer stability and keep the feet warm.

Nike also reminds us that “arktos” is ancient Greek for “bear” and is where the term “Arctic” is derived. In other words these arctic ready boots will be good cold weather – and they’ll arrive just in time.

Safety First

SG-HelmetsBill Simpson is known as the “godfather of safety” within the auto racing industry and he has taken his knowledge with Simpson Performance Products and Impact! Racing to the gridiron. He is looking to transform football the way he did with racing.

The result is SG Helmets, a football helmet manufacturing company that he created with former CART driver Chip Ganassi. Unlike typical football helmets the SG Helmets are unique in the sense that the liner is made from a blend of expanded polypropylene foams, and thus forms one continuous pad throughout the inside of the helmet, leaving no space unpadded. SG Helmets further weigh about half as much as an average football helmet, relieving unnecessary stress on players heads, necks and shoulders.

Serious Headlight

HP25Fenix doesn’t mess around when it comes to providing some illumination, and the new HP25 features two individual Cree XP-E LEDs; one that is a spot light while the other is a serious flood light. Each light has its own control, and these are designed to be easily found by touch.

The 90-degree flood offers four variances while the spot offers three, and with click the brightness increases, so you won’t find yourself blinding everyone in a dark room when you power this one up. Of course for the ultimate illumination there is the ability to combine the flood and spot where each generates 180 lumens! The Fenix HP25 features an IPX-6 rating for waterproofing so it will stand up to rain and even some downpours, so this one is ideal for those who want to hike at night or really need to find something around the campsite after dark.

To the Point

Point-65N-Modular-KayaksThere are boats that fold up, but these still only break down and build up to a specific size. The Point 65N Modular Kayak not only does the break down thing, but it can change size depending on your need.

Looking to hit the rapids or want to go lake fishing? No problem – this kayak can add or remove a section as necessary. The modular, snap-together design makes it easy to customize but doesn’t affect buoyancy or handling. And because it breaks down it is easy to transport. This is a kayak that lets you get straight to the water and that’s straight to the point.

No More Lost At Sea

Gate-KeeperWhen you drop something on the beach you can pick it up, but when you drop something when you’re in the water scuba diving it typically means you’ll need to call James Cameron and his deep sea exploration gear to get it back. Next time you’re heading out to the deep water be sure to clip on the Gear Keeper RT4 line of attachment systems.

These feature streamline smaller-sized retractors that are there to give divers some peace of mind that equipment will be where it is needed and with less bulkiness. Divers can grab and use and more importantly know that the gear will retract back into place and not end up at the bottom of the ocean.

The series includes a patented flushing system that clears sand and debris from the unit, is salt-water proof and will withstand high-temperature environments. Continue reading No More Lost At Sea

Speak Up

AudioPLUX“What did you say? I couldn’t hear you! That’s because I’m wearing headphones that block the outside world.”

We’ve all been there in one way or another, but Lou Tortola of Windsor, Canada is looking to change this with the AudioPLUX speaker system for cyclist. Tortola is now looking to Kickstarter to develop these speakers, which are meant to be “away from the ear” while still providing solid audio quality.

The idea is that these won’t suppress ambient sounds, but will still let you enjoy the tunes. Video after the jump

Bravo, the Case to Cheer

BravoBravo is typically used to express approval when a performer or other person has done something well, but few are likely to express approval when their iPhone 5 meets with a disaster. However, Bike2Power has announced that it will distribute the fully waterproof and shockproof Bravo case for the handset. It can protect the device from water, dust, dirt, mud, snow and impact.

It is waterproof down to six feet, and can withstand the impact of a free fall from more than six feet on a hard concrete floor at multiple angles. Despite all this heavy protect the company notes that all the phone features are fully accessible.

Now that is something to cheer.

Chopping at the Bit

BitLockThere are plenty of durable and very secure bike locks on the market, but one problem is that if you lose the key you’re bike isn’t exactly accessible. However, Mehrdad Majzoobi is looking to launch a Kickstarter project for the BitLock, which turns a smartphone into the key for the lock.

This works with iOS and Android and takes advantage of Bluetooth technology. In addition to providing a secure key that you hopefully won’t use, it also records the location of the bike lock via GPS, which can allow multiple users to “share” a bike and find it when it is needed.

We’ll be sure to watch this project and let readers know when it goes live.
