Finish Without Friction

Finish-Line-MaxMountain biking can be dirty business, and getting to the finish line ahead of the competition in a bike race means having a bike that is perfectly tuned, but even if you aren’t racing Finish Line’s new Max Suspension Spray will help reduce friction and suspension stanchions.

This can help smooth out, quiet and even improve the performance of old and new forks.

The Finish Line Max Suspension Spray is made with polysiloxane and function-specific fluoropolymers, and it can also be used on rubber gaskets and o-rings to condition and protect them. The Max Suspension Spray can even be sprayed on a bike’s downtube to prevent mud build-up.

For those looking to go the distance, the Finish Line Max Suspension Spray will help get you there.

These running shoes feature 16 downward-angled blades in the midsoles that react to your movement. These highly elastic blades instantaneously react to any environment, compressing and releasing energy to create an efficient push-off that provides spring-like motion under your feet. Made in America: Upcycled Tent To Shorts

Tent-ShortsEarlier today we noted that Chrome was using old Cold War era Communist Bloc/Warsaw Pact tents and making waterproof bags. We also heard that J.Crew was marketing a line of Military Tent Shorts. These cargo shorts are made of 1940s era military tents and each was made by hand in the New York City design studios, where one tent only produced one pair of shorts.

Apparently these were so popular that J.Crew has sold out even at $220 per pair. We’ll have to watch and see if anymore should show up.

Made in America: American Bags from Commie Materials

ChromeWhile we’ve heard of swords to plowshares, bag maker Chrome is looking to take old military tents and reutilize these as color bags. These include bags made of the Rain Camo that was originally used by Warsaw Pact nations during the Cold War. The shell is made of weatherproof, 1000-denier Cordura and this bag is big enough to hold a 17-inch laptop, while reflective straps will make the bag visible at night.

This line of bags also feature daisy-chain mounting loops for attaching carabineer or bike lights as well as the iconic quick-release seatbelt buckle with integrated bottle opener – something those commies never considered!

Protects From Sun and Sharks

Shark-RepllentBoatsToGo.com has just released a new line of protective beach clothing that is designed to provide “significant UV protection” and will help keep the wearer cooler in the hot sun. In addition this revolutionary line of clothing can help reduce the chances of be attacked by sharks – and by that we assume they mean the variety that swims in the ocean to that John Williams “dun dun” music and not the kind that play poker in a seaside bar.

As for the sun the clothing offers protection of up to 50SPF while the Shark Repellent Rash Guard features a visual design that was modeled after the color scheme of the highly venomous Lion Fish, which is not something sharks are interested in eating. According to the makers this significantly reduces the risk of the wearer being the victim of a shark attack in instances where the shark mistakes them for one of its prey. City Bike Helmet

Citi-Bike-HelmetNew York’s Citi Bike Share is off and running – or should we say riding – and while the grid pattern of Mid Town makes it easy for people to find their way, even New Yorkers can find anything below 14th Street to be confusing, while Lower Manhattan can be like a maze. The folks at FLORA have come up with a novel solution with the Citi Bike “Smart” Helmet, which can help riders navigate to the nearest station.

The LED lights will offer blinking directions on when to turn so riders will be directed where to go. In addition the lights on the helmets help ensure that riders will be seen after dark. Continue reading City Bike Helmet

Made in America: Boarded Up

Grain-SurfbordsWhile there has been a trend to make “greener” surfboards using a variety of materials, including carbon fiber, for Grain Surfboards nothing beats wood. The company noted that for more than a thousand years surfboards were made of wood and that’s good enough for them.

The makers use Northern White Cedar with a bit of Western Red Cedar along with a natural blend of traditional construction style with New England boat building craftsmanship and the result is one serious surfboard.
