CamelBak Releases High-Flow Chute

CamelBakChuteRefillable water bottles have become quite the accessory whether you’re taking one on a workout, a hike or even just a long shopping expedition. CamelBak makes a number of rigid bottles, but one recurring complaint is that to get the water, you have to bite down on a nozzle and then draw the water from a straw. CamelBak has just released Chute, a high-flow bottle that is made with the same durable, rugged body of the existing line, but with a high-flow opening that pours water.

The Chute bottle is leak-proof, and has a tethered cap that helps keep from losing the cap when you’re taking a drink. The tilted spout is positioned at an ergonomic angle for better lip position, and the threads are housed inside the spout to help eliminate water runoff. The thread positioning means that you can drink from a smooth opening. The use of 180-degree threads that lock with a half turn make the bottle fast to open and close, and the spout stows in the finger handle of the lid to keep it protected.

“We recognize that everyone has different hydration preferences,” said Chris Strain, chief marketing officer at CamelBak. “We wanted to create a reusable bottle for people who are looking to get a lot of water in a hurry while remaining focused on our vision of getting rid of disposable plastic water bottles as the most common way to hydrate.

CamelBak Chute is available in .75L and 1L options. The .75L model will cost $13 and come in indigo, lime, marine blue, orchid and rust. The 1L option runs $14 and comes in charchoal, sage, marine blue and indigo.
