We think of Swiss Army Knives as having a lot of tools, but the above tool probably is king of the multi-tools. Created by John S. Holler in Germany more than 100 years it is no mere pocket knife. The tool is part of a Smithsonian collection, and is now on loan from the National Museum of American History to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyo., for the exhibition “Journeying West: Distinctive Firearms from the Smithsonian.”
With around 100 pocket knife blades of every style imaginable, including a serrated blade, two dagger blades, as well as several different types of shears and scissors, an auger, a corkscrew, two saws, a lancet, button hook, cigar cutter, tuning fork, pens and mechanical pencils, mirror, and a straight razor it is truly the tool to beat.
