What’s in a Name? Douchebag Has Us Asking

Maybe Jon Olsson should have thought about the name, but apparently he liked the ring of the “Douchebag,” which is actually the result of collaboration between skiers, designers, engineers and a technical university. Apparently the pro skier, who travels more than 300 days a year with his skis, looked to create a bag that could hold two pair of skis and basically got input from 150 skiers.

The development team then worked with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the internationally awarded industrial designer Per Finne, and rest is history. The result is a bag that features ABS protection ribs, offers a PP Protection Spine and is 90 percent compressible, 100 percent foldable and is quite efficient when not in use. It offers hands free “tow ‘n go” transporting with two wheels so even fully packed it won’t be a problem.

As for the name… perhaps working with so many opinions just got the better of Olsson.
